Welcome to Sweet Little Suckles– a supportive space creative for parents, nurses, and anyone navigating the NICU journey. My name is KT and I’m the heart behind Sweet Little Suckles. As a NICU nurse and a parent who understands the emotional rollercoaster of the NICU experience, I’ve dedicated this platform to offering guidance, inspiration, and practical tools to those in need. Whether you’re a parent of a preemie, a nurse interested in transitioning to NICU, or someone interested in learning more about the NICU, I’m here to help you through it all.
Our Purpose and Passion
At Sweet Little Suckles, my mission is to provide support and valuable resources for NICU parents and the dedicated nurses who care for them. Through my work as a NICU nurse, I’ve seen firsthand how challenging and emotional this journey can be, and I want to make sure no one feels alone. Here you’ll find a variety of resources including: Support for parents- Tips, advice, and stories to help you cope with the NICU experience and take care of yourself while caring for your little one. As well as education in NICU- resources for nurses who are interested in specializing in NICU care, or for those seeking professional growth and advice in their NICU journey. Lastly, breastfeeding advocacy, I have tips on pumping, breastfeeding positions, overcoming obstacles, all aimed at empowering parents to provide their babies with the best nourishment as possible.
Why Sweet Little Suckles?
The name Sweet Little Suckles is a reflection of the nurturing bond of breastfeeding and the connection it creates between a mother and her baby even in challenging situations like the NICU. It’s a celebration of the small sweet moments of connection that helps babies thrive, both physically and emotionally.
